First Day at work with Team RLR
At a cold and windy Paul Ricard circuit in the south of France Lars spent the day with Team RLR as they were preparing for the up and coming season with their Le Mans Series LMP2 Lola racecar.
It was Lars' first day with Team RLR where he will be racing one of their Speed Euroseries prototype cars which races alongside the LMS as a support race. It was a great way for Lars to find out how the team worked and the dynamics of a fully fledged Le mans team to which he aspires to race for in 2012.
Testing went very well for Team RLR as they where testing their new Judd engine and Dunlop tires for the coming season which is the teams first full LMS season with which they stand a good chance of taking LMP2 title honours. Lars will get to learn alongside the team as he plans to move up to their LMS program next year, it would be a logical step up if Lars proves his speed and consistency as the team looks to bring on and nurture young aspiring sports car drivers from their junior team.
Lars says;
'Today was a great day for me to gel and work alongside the team and find out what it takes to run a LMP2 car at the highest level. I have to say I have been very impressed with everyone at Team RLR and this has given me more determination to race with Team RLR in their LMS program in the future.
This year will be a great opportunity for me to learn from the more experienced drivers in the team and I can apply this to my up and coming season in the Speed Euroseries. I cannot wait to get started and I have to thank Team RLR for this opportunity and hopefully this will be the start of a long and successful relationship'.
